ದೇಶದ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ದೇಶೋದ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಪಣ ತೊಡುವ ನಾಯಕ. ದೇಶದ ಇ೦ದಿನ ಕೊಳಕು ರಾಜಕಾರಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಪೇ೦ದ್ರ ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎ೦ದಿನ೦ತೆ ಉಪೇ೦ದ್ರ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಶೈಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕ೦ಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಹಿ೦ದಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇದರ ಕಥೆ ಹೋಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲೂ ಬೋರೆನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. 2030ವರೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. 2030India ದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಿದೆ ಎ೦ದು ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿ.

ಉಪೇ೦ದ್ರ, ನಯನತಾರಾ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅಭಿನಯ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ಸ್ ನ ಸದ್ಬಳಕೆ ಹಾಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹರಿಕೃಷ್ಣರ ಸ೦ಗೀತ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹಾಡುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ೦ಗೀತವಿದೆ. ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕಶ್ಯಪ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದ ಹೊಣೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣವಿದೆ.

ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಥೆ ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆಯೊ೦ದಿಗೆ ಒ೦ದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಜನರ ಮು೦ದಿಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉಪ್ಪಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೂಪರ್ ಸೂಪ್ಪರಾಗಿದೆ. ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಡಬೇಕು ಎನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕೇವಲ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸ೦ಭಾಷಣೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಪ್ಲಸ್ ಪಾಯಿ೦ಟ್. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಅರ್ಧಕ್ಕಿ೦ತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾಗ ಅದರಿ೦ದಲೇ ಸಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೊನೆಯ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ನಿಮಿಷಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಘ೦ಟೆಯ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

ದಿಗ೦ತ್ ಅಭಿನಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಕೊ೦ಕಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಧಿ ಸುಬ್ಬಯ್ಯರ ಅಭಿನಯ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಿ೦ತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅಭಿನಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜು ತಾಳೀಕೋಟೆಯವರ ನಟನೆ ಅದ್ವಿತೀಯ. ಅನ೦ತ್ ನಾಗ್ ಅಭಿನಯ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವೇನೋ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಿತ್ರ ವೀರಭೂಮಿಯವರ ಅಭಿನಯ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ಮನೋಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರ ಸ೦ಗೀತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಭಟ್ಟರ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಎ೦ದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ನಿರಾಸೆಯಾಗಬಹುದು.

Dr. H Narasimhaih

Many people have fought for freedom of Motherland. Some of them became famous all over the country. Some didn’t become known to everyone in the country even though they have struggled hard for freedom. Dr. H Narasimhaih is one such freedom fighter, physicist, educationist and rationalist. Dr. H Narasimhaih was popular as “Dr. HN”. He was very patriotic and had followed all principles of Mahatma Gandhi. He was a youth freedom fighter at the movement. He was translating Mahatma Gandhi’s speech from Hindi to Kannada. When Gandhi visited the city to give speech to the people to fight for country’s freedom.

He was always following Gandhi’s call when he called for any movement against British. On Aug 9 1942 (HN was just 22) when Mahatma Gandhi called for QUIT INDIA moment HN took a rented cycle from V.V. Puram. When he was moving towards K.R. Road police arrived to the place and stopped him and said him to go back, not to participate in all those things. But HN said “My Motherland’s freedom is important for me. I will fight for my motherland’s freedom.” Police took him to police station at that time. Likewise he had participated in many activities against British.

HN was lived in National College, Basavangudi hostel for more than five decades. He was a simple ideal man. He was always used to wear Khadi dhoti-Jubba and Gandhi topi. He has never used to eat non-vegetarian food even though he was belonged to disadvantaged caste where he was allowed to eat those things. Such an ideal person he was.

His contribution, dedication and services as an educationist are been outstanding. He headed the National Education Society for many years. He has improved Bangalore University when he was vice-chancellor from 1971-77. He introduced psychology, social work, drama, music and dance as subjects. He has served the State Legislative Assembly also.

“Do not accept anything without questioning” (ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸದೆ ಒಪ್ಪಬೇಡಿ) was his way of life. His office is adorned with a question mark signifying a spirit of inquiry. He constituted and chaired The Committee to Investigate Miracles and Other Verifiable Superstitions, to scientifically investigate claims of miracles and paranormal phenomena. The committee challenged the claims of Sathya Sai Baba, one of the most prominent god men of India, once in a seminar sathya sai baba offered an ice cream to Dr. HN. Then HN refused to have it as he was used to eat only uppit (concrete). (Ref: ಹೋರಾಟದ ಹಾದಿ - Auto biography of HN). While living in USA also he didn’t use to eat any other things. Sathya sai baba was materializing gold chain, watch, holy ash, lemon and etc from nothing. So HN asked him to get pumpkin as sai baba can not keep it inside his suit. Sai baba was not able to get him a pumpkin.


Dr. H.Narasimhaiah was conferred the Padma Bhushan, one of the top civilian awards instituted by Government of India for his services in the field of education in 1985. Dr. H Narasimhaih was passed away on Jan 30 2005.

ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿ೦ದೂಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ತೊ೦ದರೆ, ಚಿತ್ರವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಹಿ೦ಸೆ, ನರಕವಾಸ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರಾಘವ (ದ್ವಾರ್ಕಿ)ಯವರು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮು೦ಬಯಿ ಕಡಲ ತೀರದ ಮೀನುಗಾರರು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಸೇನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿ೦ದ ನರಕವಾಸಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಕೆಲ ನೈಜ ಘಟನೆಗಳಾದ ಇ೦ದಿರಾ ಗಾ೦ಧಿ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜೀವ್ ಗಾ೦ಧಿ ಮರಣ, ೧೯೯೨ರ ಬಾಬ್ರಿ ಮಸೀದಿ ಧ್ವ೦ಸ, ೧೯೯೯ರ ಕಾರ್ಗಿಲ್ ಯುದ್ಧ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊ೦ಡು ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೋಧರ ನರಕವಾಸ, ನಾಣಿ (ಶ್ರೀನಗರ ಕಿಟ್ಟಿ) ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಒ೦ದಾಗುವ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಕ್ಕಿಸುವಹಾಗೆ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಶ್ವಥ್ ನೀನಾಸ೦ರವರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಅಭಿನಯ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶ್ರೀನಗರ ಕಿಟ್ಟಿ, ರವಿಶ೦ಕರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಳಿದೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆಶಾ ಭೋಸ್ಲೆಯವರ ಪ್ರಪ್ರಥಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಡು 'ಹೇಳದೆ ಕಾರಣ ಹೋದೆಯಾ ಬಹು ದೂರ...' ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬ೦ದಿದೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಉಳಿದ ಹಾಡುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿತ್ರದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಪಾಲ್ ರಾಜ್ ರವರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸ೦ಗೀತ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಚ೦ಡಮಾರುತದ ದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ಸ್ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊ೦ಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಥೆ, ಚಿತ್ರಕಥೆ ಹೊರಬ೦ದಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಬಹುದಾದ ಚಿತ್ರ "ಮತ್ತೆ ಮು೦ಗಾರು"... ಮಾನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮ೦ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಈ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಸ್ವಾತ೦ತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೋಧರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ ನೀಡಬೇಕು...

My experience in INDUCTION PROGRAMME

An induction programme was held in our college for degree freshers. It was a programme to boost up us. Psychiatrist Dr. supriya was chief guest for the programme. She gave a good speech for us. She made up us to do some good exercises for mind suggested some more of them.

Our principal prof. D N Venkat Rao gave us a good speech and blessed us. And our vice principal prof. D R Sudha also did the same.

1st session of the programme was a speech by Dr. Supriya. She spoke well gave us nice suggestions regarding studies. We’ve to get relaxed between classes. And we should take sound breaks for relaxing when we study for a long time in exams.

2nd session was led by Dr. Kavita Shastri. She gave a good speech about BASIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS. That lecture helped us a lot as I’m a student of Communicative English. A nice lunch was prepared after her lecture.

A journalist Subhash Chandra gave us a spoke in 3rd session. His speech was specially conducted as we are Journalism students. He spoke well about his experience in journalism, he let us to know many new things regarding journalism. It was very interesting to us because we’re freshers for journalism.

A last and final session was a group event for all of us. Organizers made a group of 10 students and we were supposed to make a collage. Our group made it with a topic named CURRENT POLITICS IS A TOM N JERRY SHOW. Some of my ideas also executed in that.

Totally that programme was a nice experience for all of us. I’m thankful to the organizers of the induction programme.

'ಮಾಯೆ'ಯ ಎರಡು ನಾಟಕಗಳು ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಯಿತು

ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ನಾಟಕಕಾರ ಡಿ. ಕೆ. ಚೌಟರ ಎರಡು ತುಳು ನಾಟಕಗಳ ಕನ್ನಡಾನುವಾದದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ 'ಮಾಯೆ'ಯ ಎರಡು ನಾಟಕಗಳು ನಗರದ ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಕಲಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜುಲೈ ೧೬ ರಂದು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಯಿತು.

ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಎಂ. ಕೆ. ಭಾಸ್ಕರ್ ರಾವ್, ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಆನಗಳ್ಳಿ, ನಾಟಕಗಳ ಮೂಲ ಕರ್ತೃ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಡಿ. ಕೆ. ಚೌಟ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಅನುವಾದಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಕೇಶವ್ ಕುಡ್ಲ, ಹಾಗೂ ರಂಗ ಕರ್ಮಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ ಕವತ್ತಾರ್ ರವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಗಣ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.

ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಎಂ. ಕೆ. ಭಾಸ್ಕರ್ ರಾವ್ ರವರು ಎರಡೂ ನಾಟಕಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರವೇಶವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದರು. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಆನಗಳ್ಳಿಯವರು ಡಿ. ಕೆ. ಚೌಟರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹಿತನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಅನುವಾದಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಡಿ. ಕೆ. ಚೌಟರವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ತುಳು ಭಾಷೆ ಕಲಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುವಾದದ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಶವ್ ಕುಡ್ಲರವರು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ನಂತರ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ ಕವತ್ತಾರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ರಂಗ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ 'ಉರಿ ಉಷ್ಣದ ಮಾಯೆ' ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡಿತು.

ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರಯೋಗವು ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ತುಳು ರಂಗ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿರುವ ರಂಗ ತಂಡ 'ರಂಗಾವತಾರ'ದಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿತು.

ಜಾತಿ - ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಾದ ಈ ಕಾಲದ ಕಥೆ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಈ ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೋಡಲೇಬೇಕಾದ ನಾಟಕ "ಉರಿ ಉಷ್ಣದ ಮಾಯೆ"...

ವೈದ್ಯರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ

ಎಲ್ಲರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ದೈವ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ವೈದ್ಯ. ಇಂದು (ಜುಲೈ 1) ವೈದ್ಯರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ಭಿದನ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ರಾಯ್ ಅವರ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜುಲೈ ೧ರಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದವರು.

೧೮೮೨ರ ಜುಲೈ ೧ ರಂದು ಇವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವಾದರೆ, ೧೯೬೨ರ ಜುಲೈ ೧ ರಂದು ದೈವಾದೀನರಾದರು. ಈತನ ಜನನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮರಣ ಎರಡೂ ಜುಲೈ ೧ ರಂದೇ.

ಏಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ F.R.C.S. (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeon) ಹಾಗೂ M.R.C.P. (Member of the Royal College of Physicians) ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಮಹನೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರು.

ಭಾರತದ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ನಾಗರಿಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯಾದ "ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ" ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ೪ನೇ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೧೯೬೧ ರಂದು ಕೊಡಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಇವರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇತರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ಬಿಹಾರದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಪಾಟ್ನಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ದೇಶದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೋರಾಡಲೂ ಸೈ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು.

ರಾಜಕೀಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಡಾ. ಬಿ. ಸಿ. ರಾಯ್ ರವರದು ಮೇಲುಗೈ. ೧೪ ಜನವರಿ ೧೯೪೮ ರಿಂದ ೧ ಜುಲೈ ೧೯೬೨ (ನಿಧನ) ವರೆಗೂ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಇಂತಹ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅತ್ತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ವೈದ್ಯನ ನೆನೆಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಜನನ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಧನದ ದಿನವೂ ಆದ ಜುಲೈ ೧ ರಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದೆಲ್ಲೆಡೆ "ವೈದ್ಯರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ"ಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
